Following the recent furor over Nicholas Tse and Cecilia Cheung's alleged divorce after famous Hong Kong DJ Cha Xiao Xin spilled the beans on it, latest reports state that the couple had the intention to divorce since April.

FACE magazine reported that prior to the Hong Kong Film Awards held on April 17, the couple had separately consulted their lawyers on the child custody and inheritance issue.

It is believed that Cecilia's "in-flight incident" where she took a photo with Edison Chen is a catalyst for their divorce.

Although the couple went for a date at Hong Kong's Stanley Peninsular two days after the award show (April 19) looking all lovey-dovey, sharing an ice-cream as reported by Apple Daily, the "in-flight incident" was reported as "the last straw" for Nicholas.

After Cha first exposed that their married was heading for a bad turn, Nicholas' manager Mani Fok responded saying that "Nicholas did not send a legal letter asking for separation."

The couple has yet to voice their opinions on the incident and Nicholas is currently in Malaysia filming The Viral Factor till July. Attempts to reach him for comment on his mobile remained unsuccessful as his mobile phone is currently switched off.

Mani also said that Nicholas is very busy filming and has turned off his cell phone to get some rest. When she was asked to comment on the couple's marriage, Mani expressed that she is just "an outsider".

"I don't comment and discuss about other people's household problem," Nicholas' manager said.

On the other hand, Cecilia seems to be unaffected by the brewing controversy and received praises from movie director Stanley Kwan her for being a professional actress.

With her new film, Repeat I Love You, slated to wrap up on June 6, when asked if Cecilia will finally face the media and give her response on the issue, Stanley said that he will only comment about his new movie, and nothing else.

Whereas elsewhere in Korea, the big news that everyone is talking about is the accident that Big Bang's member Daesung is involved in.

Kang Daesung from Korean boy band Big Bang was involved in an accident in the wee hours of this morning when he was on his way home.

At around 1.28am, Daesung was driving through Yanghwa Bridge in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul when he rammed into a motorcyclist, who was already lying on the road because of a previous accident, before crashing into a taxi, which was 40m away.

It is believed that Daesung and the taxi driver were not hurt in the accident. The motorcyclist was reported to be pronounced dead when the ambulance arrived on the scene.

The police released a statement after initial investigations: "We're currently investigating if an accident occurred before this. Before Daesung hit the motorcyclist, the latter was already lying on the road for some reason. There is need for further detailed investigations. However, initial investigations deemed that the motorcyclist was already dead before Daesung's accident."

While helping out with the police investigations, Daesung cried after knowing the motorcyclist had passed away.

The idol has since returned home with his manager and his management agency, YG Entertainment has also cancelled all his work commitments.
