Hey guys,
Below are the finalised themes for Tuesday's KBox session.
Reminder of the Details again.

Date: 24th June 2008, Tuesday
Meeting Time: 1.30pm

P.S:~ I say first huh i might be a little late cos i am going to register for a part time job in the morning, dunno what time i will end.

Alright so everyone is given the task of choosing 2 themes. Other times, will be free selection of songs and singing.
Here are the themes:

XianHao's Choice
天堂歌曲
Songs that will make people feel like the are in heaven. Can also be songs full of happiness, sunshine and warmth.

地狱歌曲
Songs that makes people feel very sad and unbearable. Like Wenya says, "suffocating".

Wenya's Choice
Retro
Songs from the 30s to the 90s. Even current songs are acceptable but they must have the Retro factor.

Night Songs
Songs that are suitable to listen to at night.

Xinying's Choice
中外合并
Lyrics of songs that have English or other 外语 in it. Can also be title of songs that have English or other 外语 in it.

自我突破
Doing a genre that you are good at and try to exceed your potential. Or doing something that you have never done before. It all about exceeding expectation and 突破.

Servbot's Choice
异国歌曲
Doing a sound that resembles a particular country's culture. Like for instance, 中国风 or 印度风.

大喊大叫歌曲
Songs that require you to have some power. The title is sort of self-explanatory. Have fun and 发泄 all you want in this theme ba.

Amendments to KBox Competition and Outing Details

Due to much request and popular demand, the 指定歌曲 theme for the KBox Competition will be changed to 双人对唱.

Finale: SHE <<中国话>>

Today's outing was quite fun.
We played Monopoly and Princess Sala 爆冷 win the whole game. Congrats.
It was a good game, everybody had a strategy in mind. Everyone!! In the end in comes down to who has the better luck and i think Princess Sala got lots of it this time round thats y she leads the pack. The others have their total assets very close. It was a tight competition.
Even Xinying has got the game right le. She was eyeing the 联合报 shares but cant buy it due to some circumstances. In the end, the shares did increase by a lot. All in all, it was a great game!!

KBox Singing Competition

After a hella of a long time, the KBox Competition is finally back, with some new themes and new judging criteria and scoring method.

Let mi start by telling u the time and place 1st before i go into that.

Date: 23rd June 2007
Time: To be Confirmed again (Most Probably Klunch timing)
Venue: Either KBox Ang Mo Kio or Choa Chu Kang (if amk then Xinying have to do the booking, if cck, i will book the place)

This will be the sequence of the comtestants, after much discussion.

Contestant No. 1: Tan Boon Ya (Wenya)
Contestant No. 2: Ong Xinyi
Contestant No. 3: Yee Xian Hao
Contestant No. 4: Angelina Soh Xinying

The New Scoring method will be as such,
instead of the usual rating of each contestant on a scale of 10, judges will now only need to write down the contestant the think should be the winner of the particular category.
If there is a clear winner of the particular category, that winner will be awarded 4 points.
If the winner is tied amongst 2 contestant, each will be award 3 points.
If winner is shared amongst 3 contestant, each will be awarded 2 pts and so on.
At the end of the day, winner of KBox Competition will be the one with the most points!!! Got it?

And also, pls do take note of all the songs u sang during the course of the competition so as to facilitate the results to be put up on the blog, best is u write what u sang for each theme after u finish singing it or something.

Also, new rules,
- Pls strictly no interruption during the course of the competition, pls keep ur comments to urself until the contestant has finished singing.
- Pls choose ur songs quietly and do not talk loudly, whisper if u really have to.
- This is some tips for the contestants, during singing, try to stay as focus as possible, even if mistakes are made sing on and don't just stop down there, this will result in worse results!!
- Preferably minimise ur trip to the toilet, only one person is allowed to go at anyone time.
- Failure to comply with rules will result in a deduction of up to 4 points!!!

After everything is completed, we will have a bonus sing-a-long, the song we will be singing is SHE's 中国话. So do practice the song also, so we can have a fabulous ending to the whole competition.

KBox Singing Competition Details

Ok due to addition of a new category which is 指定歌曲. And the song that all four of us are singing is 不痛 by 张韶涵.
This is a very special category and we will split the category up so that we will not bore each other by singing the same song again and again. This is the sequence whereby u guys will sing the song.

NOTE: The singing of 指定歌曲 is not in order of the original drawing of lots to prevent repeatition of singers during the course of the competition.

Today I woke up at 10.45am.. n my mum was furious cos I nagged her 2 wake me up at 6 am. But as usual.. sleeping bug attacked me. How to get rid of it huh? How to keep myself awake? Why I feel tired so easily? Then wasted like so many hrs on it.. mad at myself. =(
But wat is funny is.. I woke up then checked my hp. One msg received.. n it said" dear zhui xing members...pls post ur themes, duo ming ge qu..by tmr.. so i can collate by sun"
the organiser is getting serious.. so i muz get it over n done wif. Haha.. if not i will be bugged. =p

I shall do brainstorming on e spot. Is it possible? ok.. I try.

  This theme is easy. We shall each think of a song wif a colour word in e song title e.g. "白色风车”，“黑色毛衣”。。

• 可爱教主

Can sing songs that r kawaii.. e.g. Rainee's songs or wenya n xinyi's fav "超口爱”。。simple?

• 新歌
• 反串 I think this theme is popular rite? Shall we try it once more?
• 加分题

besides duo ming ge qu, shall we haf this theme which can showcase our talents? Choose songs tat can impress others, special n those tt we usually think u can't sing. a bit like duo ming.. except that this is chosen by u.

• 老歌新唱 sing oldies in ur own style
• 电视电影偶像剧歌曲 this is obvious..
• "星” 为主题的歌

cos this is our 3rd yr anniversary. Muz 配合。 e.g. "星光”。 和“星”谐音的能被接受，e.g. "心”，“新”

Zhui Xing Entertainment News & KBox Details

Halo, im back. Long time nv do my entertainment news column. Sorrie to all my fans out there (if there is any) who have been waiting so long for my update.

But 1st, a few matters to address b4 we start.
This is for the benefit of Xinyi who did not attend the Zhui Xing Directors Meeting.
And a reminder of what we discuss to Xinying and Wenya.

Okay, due to the low response of Zhui Xing Music Awards, after discussion at the Directors' Meeting, we decided to call off the whole thing.
Director Xinying was against this idea coz she alreadi did her 1st part of nomination.
Director Wenya says though its a good idea but the response was low due to the low publicity by the organiser and lack of time by the participant.
After much discussion, we finally decide to call off the whole thing.
But, the organizers might put the whole event up again at the end of the year. Will see how things go.

Another thing is March 17 we will be having Xinyi's Bdae Celebration Cum KBox Competition.
The newly apponited event organiser Director Wenya will inform us of further details.
However, KBox coordinator, Director XianHao(thats mi) got things to inform you guys.
This are the things that you guys need to do to ensure that the KBox Competition goes on smoothly,
Post all your 夺命慢歌 and 夺命快歌. Deadline: This weekend 24th to 25th Feb
Post all your theme that u want to be sang during the competition. Deadline: Next weekend 2nd to 3rd Feb
Director Xinyi, pls also announce ur 指定男歌手 and 指定女歌手. Deadline: Next weekend 2nd to 3rd Feb

Okay, some of these news might be outdated but thats becoz it happen during the wk that i didnt post the entertainment news. But its still worth sharing. So here goes...

Jack Neo's movie 小孩不笨 after being shown as a best selling movie, is being turned into a television series. Following that, the dvds and vcds are also selling in stores plus comics and lotsa other merchandise, now it has become a variety show on channel 8. The 小孩不笨 variety talk show each week address issues and problems that young teenagers meet in their everyday live. Each week special guest are also invited to the show to give their opinions on the different issues that are discussed. Also Jack Neo's new movie <<我在政府部门的日子>> is now showing in cinemas now. Highly recommended and very hilarious. Great performance by Fann Wong and Gurmit Singh. Go watch it.

孙燕姿's new album will be out in march but u can already place ur orders online now. I heard that sales are so great and overwhelming that her new record company Capitol was shocked that she achieved this result way b4 her album is released. Also, in order to have a new look for the album, she had a $9000 haircut from a really famous hair stylist. Hmm, really look forward to her new album and to see her new hair style. After its $9000. Haha. Rock on, Yanzi.

梁咏琪 was performing at a concert in Mainland China when she stepped on the pearls from one of the dancers necklace which happens to fall to the ground. She tripped and fall in the midst of performing. But being professional, 梁咏琪 got up and finish her performance which earned her the audience loud applause after she finished performing. Her new album is out. I just bought it. Really nice also.

Alright, guys there has been alot of discussion going on about the dates and themes of the Zhui Xing Singing Competition. But everything is fixed now!!!! The following is the finalised details of the competition.

Date: 20 Jan 2007 (Saturaday)
Time : To be Confirmed By Zhui Xing Secretary (Either Klunch or if got 2 to 7 timing then 2 to 7 but must confirm 1st later we go suddenly they say 2 to 5 then sian half)

Champion of Monopoly!!

I am very proud to announce that Wumi, thats watashi (follow wenya's style) is the winner of Monopoly!! Yeah!! And this time my win is all based on skills in buying stocks and luck one hor. Not by sabotaging people to get to the top lor. Unlike someone who force other people to put all their cash into the bank lor. But i am very happy to say that despite constant arrowing and constant targeting by the 3 other competitiors, Wumi, still raise to the occasion and grab the award. Thanks to all the stocks and the bank for giving lotsa interest. N thanks to all the other 3 contestants for visiting my property from time to time. Hope the trophy will continue to stay with mi. Haha.

Okok, xinyi suggested that we go out on the 7th morning. Ok the thing is i dunno if im free that day. Plus u guys say morning. I dun wan to wake up so early even on wkends lor. Must understand leh, people wake up 4am everyday one lor. Haiz. Envy u all!!! If u all say like 11 something at somewhere near my place then maybe can lar. But if it is 10 something at amk like that hor. Then sorry lor. I want my beauty sleep. Haha

Oh yar n xinyi, i request a change of song. I dun care if it is worse then the previous one coz i HATE the song u gave mi. No offense!!! But i dun like the song leh. Haha. Aniway since u ask if anyone wanna change song then i request one lor. If not bo bian have to sing the song i hate. Yucks. N this time round u guys very ruthless hor. Nvm, u guys wait, see who is more ruthless, Xianhao's song choice is always high standard one. Haha.

Xinying msg mi say she thinks duo ming ge qu should be further split up into slow and fast songs. That way, we will be able to compete at a same platform. After much consideration and discussion, the organizers have decided to accept her suggestion. So that means all of u who have chosen the songs have to chose another one for ur fellow contestants. For eg, Wenya has chosen盖世英雄 for XianHao, she will then have to chose another slow song for him to compete. Understand?? Any questions can direct to mi or xinying.

Hi Zhui Xing members, here's the 10 KBOX THEMES I promised!!

台湾偶像剧有这么多！爱情白皮书，流行花园，摘星。。。什么？没听过？？？哈哈。。因为这是个人独特品味啦！Theme 1= 唱偶像剧的主题曲吧~

Number 2. 香港又演电影又唱歌的歌手的歌

香港艺人真的很多才多艺。不只英俊、漂亮，而且有些艺人又拍过电影又发过专辑。

Theme 2 就是要你唱影帝影后的歌儿。

Number 3. 新加坡电视剧的歌曲

怎么可以忘记这些陪我们度过成长岁月的歌呢？本地的电视剧的歌，都非常有特色。所以我们应该选一首来唱~

Number 4. 斯文温柔的情歌王子的歌曲

斯文温柔情歌王子长什么样子？当然是皮肤白白的，样子斯斯文文的，干干净净的，而且唱的歌都是那种温柔的情歌。哈哈。。。我们选一首唱好不好？

有些歌不只是好听，而且mv 超级好看。比如到巴黎拍摄，或是华丽的效果，或是感人的故事情节。这样的歌，在卡拉ok 唱，是最享受的，不只可以听到好听的旋律，还可以看那些俊男美女深情的演出，还有导演的工力。哈哈。。你最喜欢什么mv 呢呢呢？？？

Self Appointed Competition Organzier??

Yo guys,
i nv MIA okay!!! Always come here often to see whats going on one. I just cant tag on the tagboard!!! Haiz. But can read the tags though. haha.

And i must say Xinyi really did a great job on the story. Haha. Keep up the effort huh. N i onli had one scene lor. Not fun. I am the best actor in zhui xing leh. Must give mi more impt role mar. Haha. N i am dying to see some action and magic coz like the 4 characters havent really show off what powers they have and possess. N plus the magical and fantasy element have not been really developed. Right now its mostly about friendship and comedy that kinda thing. So hope to see more interesting things in the 3rd episode. Jiayou!! Wah i sound like some kinda crtics lor. Haha.

Oh and wenya suggested going kbox instead of lunch. I am okay wif it lor. But if u guys wanna go kbox u must start thinking of all the themes of songs to sing during the 3 hours or so competition. If not it will turn out quite boring coz we have to keep on thinking of new themes n keep distracting the people who are in the competition doing their thing. N this is to prevent lack of themes also!!! Yup. So guys, get ur creative juices flowing ang start thinking of all the themes so we can be prepared for the competition and even prepared our songs ahead so we dun have to crack our head over what song to sing.

The self-appointed Competition Organizer (thats mi) will collate all the themes and post on the blog. So that u guys will have an idea how the competition will goes!!! So start posting ur ideas NOW!!!!

Okok, hrmm, have some ideas, dunno if u guys will like. Coz i find the 'Killer' Song category is very popular amongst us. Haha. So i decided to split it into 2 sections to make it more interesting, exciting and challenging!!

Part 1:~
The 3 zhui xing members will have to think of a singer for the particular contestant. The contestant will then have to pick a song that the singer sings to compete. This is to test the abilty of the contestant to choose the right song under a restricted condition!!

Part 2:~
Each zhui xing member will choose a killer song for the other 3 zhui xing members!!! This is split into 4 rounds!!
For eg,
In Round 1, Xinying will choose a song each for the other 3 pple. Then she herself will pick a winner!!
In Round 2, Wenya does the same n pick a winner.
There goes the same in Round 3 and 4 for xinyi and xianhao.
Winner of Part 2 Killer Song Category will be the one who win the most round. If a draw occurs, a 5th round will be played and the other contestants will decide the winner.

Other themes i have in mind,

• Movie/Drama Series Theme Song
• China Mainland's Singer
• Unplug Song
• New Songs
