+ My Opinions about Same Sex Marriage +

*I didnt watch video.. haha.. But this is my opinion la..

1. Christianity = have compassion.

This is a general statement. One having a religion doesn't guarantee he or she is religious and stuff. Sounding bitchy on one issue doesnt mean that person has no compassion. It merely reflects strong rejection for a particular idea.


2. Media tries to associate gay and sex together most of the time. Personally, I feel that there are possibilities that some gay relationships are based on physical attractions, just like in heterosexual relationships.

3. But for me, I feel that the world consists of different kinds of people, and everyone is unique. But sometimes, some people's uniqueness are not what most people would accept, and thus accounts for the existence of different kinds of discrimination and resistance. Same sex marriage is just one of the many issues. Just like in a conservative society, a certain unreasonable 'tradition' that harms people continues in existence, just because people feel that it is something that have existed for a very long time, so people don't see why there is a need to change it.


For changes and rules to be overturned, it requires a long period of time for acceptance and adaptation, and need efforts to make them seem less dangerous or extreme. Just like in the past, man can't have long hair, it is forbidden. But as time passes, and society places importance on different values, something that is at first controversial becomes less resisted, and more start to have the same views.


I believe that a certain extent of toleance and acceptance should be allowed, so that everyone can be themselves and execute what they believe is important to them. However, the important thing is, this must not create too much negative effects on the society and other people's daily living.


Actually homosexuality is not a modern thing. It existed even in the Qing dynasty of China or even earlier time. People accepted it, but did not accept prostitution and crime based on that. Otherwise, it is fine. Probably, for same sex relationship, they should quit wanting to make it equal on the surface as heterosexual relationships, and think about how this relationship is different, and what beautiful things can come out of it. I mean for heterosexual relationships, there is a long tradition of songs, art, movies, stories about how beautiful it is. But we don't see alot of beauty and happiness from same sex relationships. People can only be more accepting of something, when they see the beauty or niceness in it.


What beautiful things does same sex relationship bring to this world?
