My Superstar Journey

Hey guys,
Went for the Superstar auditions held last Sunday. Wow, it was freaking hot, and lotsa ppl were there to register and apply for the competition. Well, I would have to say this year’s contestants came generally well-prepared for the competition. There is hardly anyone who dresses weirdly or strangely except for this guy who went to audition in a traditional Chinese suit. Wow, the day so hot lor must be really unbearable to wear something like that.

Standing in the queue and watching people who dresses up very nicely or who just simple look stunning and exceptionally handsome is a really stressful thing for mi. What more those who uses the time to practice their singing also stresses mi with their beautiful voices. Lotsa talent concentrated on an area I must say.

I reached the audition place at 9am and started queuing. Due to overwhelming response, I have to wait in the queue for almost 9 hours b4 I register. It was at 6pm when I reached the registration counter that I was told that the auditions for that day is full. I was told to come back the next day at 12 noon. Was stunned coz I dunno how I would be able to make it to the auditions.

Lucky for mi, the next day when I went back to camp to tell mi instructor of mi situations, he was quite supportive of it and allowed mi to take a day off for it. Rushed back to audition place and started waiting for mi turn again. Mi turn finally camp at around 4.30pm. Damn nervous lar. Started introducing myself to the judges and then started singing. But my voice was normal, not at all shaky or what due to my nervousness. Halfway through my song (actually only sang like the first verse), the judges stopped mi ………… “Hrmm, cannot leh!!” they say. The red buzzer light is then lighted up signaling to mi that I was out of the competition.

After much thought I gathered the few reasons for mi failed auditions,
- choose wrong song
- should have started from the chores of the song
- not good looking enough
- voice not good enough
- too many people b4 mi gotten in and sang a lot better
- little experience in singing publicly which results in mi being nervous

Nevertheless, I still like singing and will continue to do so as long as I have mi voice. Will take part in singing competition still. But small ones, no more Project Superstar for mi. Haha

And thanks to u guys for ur support. Without u guys I wouldn’t even have the courage to sign up for auditions. Was really touched with the faith that u all have in mi and the support I receive!!!
