齐秦 was injured when undergoing traditional Chinese therapy and suffered 60% burns on face.

A few days ago, veteran singer Chyi Chin was burnt on his back, face and arms, when a cupping therapy went awry.

Yesterday afternoon, Chyi Chin's management agency released a declaration, recounting the incident and thanking netizens for their care and concern for the singer.

According to the declaration, the cause of the accident is due to a cupping therapy (used in traditional Chinese medicine) gone wrong. The therapist was said to have brought along insufficient tools for the treatment and used Chyi Chin's physiotherapy equipment at home. He filled one of the ten cups with flammable alcohol used during the treatment.

The cupping therapy was done in an upward direction, starting from Chyi Chin's waist.

When the therapist was treating the singer's shoulders, he forgot that the tenth cup was used to hold the flammable liquid and proceeded to light the cup on fire and attempt to place it over the last acupuncture point. This caused the alcohol to pour all over Chyi Chin's shoulders and cheeks.

The declaration also mentioned the singer's current medical condition, stating that the swell on Chyi Chin's face has receded after 72 hours of burn treatment. He is now able to eat and move his arms and legs.

However, visitations are still not allowed, because Chyi Chin is highly prone to viral infection during this sensitive period.

Wedding bells again from showbiz. This time from local celebrity, Lynn Poh.

Last week, Lynn suddenly sent a text message via Monsoon Hair Group, to invite some media for a private gathering at St Regis Hotel.

xinmsn contacted Lynn after receiving the text message, to find out if the private gathering was to announce an endorsement launch or her wedding. However, the tight-lipped actress merely laughed and said that she would be announcing more than one piece of good news.

On Sep 1, the 'private gathering' turned out to be a press conference for Lynn's latest product endorsement. The actress also announced that she would be getting married and handed out the wedding invitations at the venue.

Lynn, who had previously invited her celebrity friends including Aileen Tan and her husband, Constance Song, and Cavin Soh, handed them her wedding invitation personally.

In addition to the announcement that she would be the new spokesperson for BIOAPEX, a skin center, Lynn also quipped excitedly, "That's right! I'm getting married on Sep 23 and the wedding is going to be held here [at St. Regis]!"
