Xinmsn reports: The first thing Stefanie Sun did when news of her marriage broke was damage control. A couple of days ago, local media reported that singer Stefanie Sun had already filed for marriage with Nadim van der Ros, her boyfriend of five years, on Mar 31 in Singapore. When the news broke, Stefanie quickly called a senior executive at her record company Wonderful Music to let them in on the news. The singer has a two-year contract with them. "Are you angry?" Stefanie was said to have asked. Luckily, the answer she got was, "Of course not! We're very happy for you!"

Xu Weiyuan, contents operations director at Wonderful Music, expressed that Stefanie wanted to announce the good news personally, but the media was one step ahead. "She'll announce when 'it's time'," Xu said. It is believed that Stefanie had requested her schedule to be freed up for the next one and a half months as she had "other matters" to deal with, suggesting that she had already planned for her wedding. "Wow! Thanks for all the blessings! Thank you. It's very heartwarming," Stefanie wrote on her microblog yesterday. Some fans even set up a Facebook fan page for Nadim van der Ros and instructed him to "treat her [Stefanie Sun] better, and make her the happiest person in the world".
