Okay first things first, the Jupiter Awards nomination period has ended and we would like to thank everyone who has participated in this year's nomination.
As the first round of judging is still going on right now, we will only be able to release the final nomination list tml. Please look out for this space as we bring to you the nomination list of Jupiter Award 2009.

The annual 金马奖 has just taken place last week and here are the list of winners.

Both 王力宏 and 周杰伦 have been hot favourites for in all awards ceremony but because of are busy filming and participating in movie productions, they do not have time for their music career. As a result, they will not be able to release album before year end which means that they will be missing the nomination deadline for 台湾金曲奖. Both of them will not be nominated for next year's award because of that. So we shall see who will be dominating the awards ceremony with these 2 gone. And as promised by 周杰伦, he will be attending next year's award ceremony as the reigning 最佳男演唱人. So he will most probably be one of the award presenter.

Rumors has it that 潘嘉丽 will be going back to her previous job as an air stewardess. In response to those news, 潘嘉丽 says that she still loves singing and wishes to continue her singing career. The rumors are hence not true. But she does admit that she earns a lot more as an air stewardess than as a singer. She gave up her air stewardess job which could pay her up till $4000 per month. Right now, she is only receiving $500 per month. She is also asking her company to let her stay in Singapore instead of Taiwan if possible so that she will have more time for her friends and family. Her contract will be finishing soon but she decline to review whether she will be renewing her contract or changing company. She say she will inform everyone once the details are confirm. We wish her all the best.

林俊杰 fans like Mango must be wondering what he had been up to this year as he has been keeping a rather low profile for the part year. Well, he is actually resting because his voice and throat were hurt. He said this is a big blow to a any singers out there. In fact, he also exhibits a bit of destructive behaviour like "someone". You know who u are. Haha.
He switched off his handphone and typed a blog entry that made his agent worried cos they thought it was a suicidal letter. His new album will be released on the 18th Dec in Taiwan and it is named 《100天》. The reason being he felt that during this down period one day feels like a 100 days. His new song is called 《第几个100天》. I believe 933 will be playing this song soon. So keep a look out k?

Jupiter's Special

The music industry is recently has this trend of 老歌新唱.
A lot of singers have been releasing albums and many are songs that are being 翻唱.
Today we will be featuring some of this songs. See whether you like their new version or the traditional new version better.

First up is this song original sang by 潘越云 and 齐豫 called 梦田.
SHE resang this song. Actually this new version had been released for quite sometime already and maybe a lot of you might have listened to it before le ba.
Personally i prefer the traditional version caused the harmonizing parts between 潘越云 and 齐豫 is just flawless. Not say SHE not gd la. But 潘越云 and 齐豫 are really damn pro lor.
I like the music video though. The sand art. Nice!!!


Next up is this Malaysian singer called 方炯镔.
We will be listening to his rendition of 遗憾.
I guess everyone is familiar with 许美静's version right.
This song is just so nice. And i think 方炯镔 adds some new feel to this song.
Sang by guys, the feeling really becomes totally different.
But still nice.


萧敬腾 is up next with Reiko's favourite 新不了情.
Do u still remember him singing this song in 超级星光大道?
That time he PK this song with 杨宗纬 and lost. He even cried on stage.
Very rare to see this side of him right?
He sang this song again in his new 翻唱 album. Probably to 雪耻 ba.
But i think that time he competition sing this song already very nice le. No need 雪耻. Haha. Cos no 耻 to 雪.


Next is 萧敬腾's buddy, 方大同.
I totally love this song he sang.
Nothing's Gonna Change My Love For You.
Totally different from the original version. Got his own feel and yet it is still nice. Very successful 老歌新唱 example.


Korea also likes to 翻唱 song wor.
This is the korean version of 红豆. Yes the 王菲 song. Haha.
This is one of the theme song for the really popular Korea drama that im watching right now. 伊甸之东. Every time they play this song the feel will come lor. LOL.
You will also get to see some love scenes between 宋承宪 and 李妍熙.
