Hi! It's me, Mango bringing u to the latest and hottest news in the entertainment industry. Oops. Sorry.. NG.. Salah..
1,2, 3 Take 2!
Hi! It's me! I'm sorry that I MIA for so long. This blog entry will have a mixture of languages. Haha.. see my title? Yes it's the crazy and random entry.
There's a "DV" red chop on my left hand.
Too cool.. I don't bear to wash it off.
Ok this exhibition is entitled "The Genius" if I'm not wrong.
Where is it held? At Singapore Science Centre.
$15 for adults.. unless u wanna disguise urself as a kid which I doubt can loh.
For I'm arts person.
My reason of going there......
At first was guilty, but I thought since I couldn't go overseas travel,
I can treat e cab fare as my air ticket.
So much cheaper if I think this way. Ok.. I noe it's
I was so excited when I reached there.
I even told the taxi uncle I was going to see the exhibition.
(He was so friendly. He even encouraged me to sign up be a teacher cos he asked me if I'm still studying. Really a nice uncle.)
So I reached around 5pm and started my tour.
Some info about Da Vinci (courtesy of WiKi):
Birth name: Leonardo di Ser Piero
He is really the most diversely talented person ever to have lived. (Jin Ho!)
Inside the exhibition hall- unveiling Mona Lisa
(some pics taken from google)
Mona Lisa's painting is really magnificient. Especially the enlarged version.
Before this I was actually quite scared of her as I find her smile quite creepy.
Though it's supposed to be elegant.
But I get to see the painting in genuine colours and it's really beautiful.
Her skin is more rosy and not as dull as we see today.
Really thanks to advance technology (should be Infra-red) and varnish removed
that paintings get to 还原。:)
Then I also learnt that Da Vinci's mountains are blue and not green.
And do u notice Mona Lisa actually wears a veil?
I didn't notice it as it's so thin and not obvious!
There are also 3 levels to the background (what I remember).
1st level: Rivers, bridge
2nd level: Forest
3rd level: Rocks and harsher weather condition
Mona Lisa also has eyebrows and eye lashes! But why we can't see?
Some researchers claim that it was common at this time for genteel women to pluck them out, since they were considered to be unsightly.
Poor Mona Lisa..
There is a Mona Lisa parody made by adorning a cheap reproduction with a moustache and a goatee, as well as adding the rude inscription. (What is it u can find out urself.) This was intended as a Freudian joke, referring to Leonardo's alleged homosexuality.
The art section is mostly about Mona Lisa. Wanna know more secrets about her? Go and find out urself!
Besides Mona Lisa, I also like these 2 great works by him.

The features of the lady are so defined.
The subject of the portrait is identified as Cecilia Gallerani, and was probably painted at a time when she was the mistress of Lodovico Sforza, Duke of Milan and Leonardo was in the service of the Duke.
Can u guess how old is she in the painting?
Ans: around 16.
Cecilia's dress is comparatively simple, revealing that she is not a noblewoman.
There are several interpretations of the significance of the ermine in her portrait. The ermine was a traditional symbol of purity because it was believed that an ermine would face death rather than soil its white coat. (that's so cool! And this is the only interpretation I understand.)

The oil painting gives me the feeling of innocence.
They depict the Virgin Mary with the Christ child, who looks longingly at a yarnwinder which the Virgin could use to measure off yarn. The yarnwinder serves as a symbol both of Mary's domesticity and the Cross on which Christ was crucified, and may also suggest the Fates, understood in classical mythology as spinners.
The exhibition has many other physics stuff too. I think Servbot and maybe Jupiter will like.
"Leonardo's studies in science and engineering are as impressive and innovative as his artistic work, recorded in notebooks comprising some 13,000 pages of notes and drawings".
Some other things I saw:
This can be found near the exit of the exhibition. Remember Servbot introduced us to stereograms before? (is the name right btw?)
Yup.. U can see this through a lense.. but still I cant see the effect. Maybe cos the security guard kept chasing us.
Oh btw, he's left-hander! heehee.
Some flying object.. I think later evolves to helicopter.

A page from Leonardo's journal showing his study of a foetus in the womb.
See he also know medical stuff! So li hai rite? And I remembered he was the one who discovered the hardening of arteries. He also studied horses.
Ok I hope u will be inspired by the great genius and go down to Science Centre! It ends on MY Tanjobi. So seize the chance. :)
Mango ~
P.S. Changed blog song to 《掉了》, more soothing for my ears. Enjoy!
