This week's entertainment news very short coz nothing much happened. But the latest and most devastating news would be concerning our local talent 孙燕姿. Yanzi was apparently extorted by the tour guide when she was in Egypt filming her new music video. Luckily with the help of The Singapore Embassy, all the crew members including Yanzi was back at home safely. The crew members were forced to pay up till $7000 US dollars. However, the media were suspicious of the whole thing and they think its all the comapny's plan to receive free promotion for the latest album. Whatever the case, as a Yanzi's fan, i am just great to hear that yanzi is alrite. In a video, that is released to the media, Yanzi said that although this kinda things happen, she still thinks that Egypt is a really beautiful country and hopes to go back again one day. Yanzi's new song 逆光 can be heard on 933 as of now.

Another of our local talent, 张玉华 after deciding not to continue her contract wif mediacorp has gone on for 26 months without a stable income or salary. She has chosen not to continue her contract due to the fact that she wants to focus her energy on the music industry and the Taiwan area. And all these seems to be paying of as an American company has recently approach her which means that in the near future, she might be going global. We wish her all the best.

Results of the Oscars were out. Interesting thing is that this year, the male and female actor and actress both acted as Kings and Queens. And the big winner of the night is "The Departed". This show is the Hollywood version of <<无间道>>. So we should feel really proud of our Asian Movies. And mi favourite actress in Dreamgirls, Jennifer Hudson won Best Supporting Actress. Hurray.
