老牛吃嫩草 in the end didn't work out? 陈建彬 ends relationship with girlfriend.
Xinmsn reports:
The 32-year age gap between local actor Marcus Chin and his 27-year-old girlfriend Eileen Cheah seemed to have taken a toll on the couple's relationship. After three short years of living together, the couple is now living separately.
Eileen was Marcus's assistant before it was revealed that the pair was seeing each other in Jan 2009. In May the same year, Marcus separated from his wife Murong Ying, and his May-December relationship with Eileen became the talk of town.
A year later, Eileen gave birth to their daughter Elise. Marcus even hosted a 66-table banquet to celebrate the child's one-month birthday.
Yesterday, Marcus admitted to the local media, "Eileen and I have already separated."
Rumours of their relationship woes began three months ago, but the actor denied speculations then as he did not want the news to go public yet.

According to Marcus's friend, the actor wanted to keep a low profile, because there were still loose ends to tie. He added that the reason behind the couple's separation was Eileen did not have proper status as his wife. Marcus did not divorce Murong Ying, even after the 27-year-old had given birth to their daughter.

Marcus's friend also shared that although Marcus went to court with Murong Ying ultimately, the actor felt that he would need to sell the house after the divorce, leaving his ex-wife with no place to stay. Therefore, he decided to keep his failed marriage, and continued to pay Murong Ying alimony and help her with the housing loan.
Responding to the report, Marcus expressed that he had explained to Eileen previously, and there was nothing he could do, should she not accept his decision. However, the actor also admitted that the huge age gap between the couple was a problem, but refused to comment further.

The friend also let on that Eileen used to be gentle and considerate, but had become bad-tempered after giving birth. Marcus initially thought Eileen was suffering from post natal depression, and had been understanding towards her demands. However, the problems between them persisted, and the couple decided to part ways.
Marcus and Eileen have maintained a cordial relationship after their separation, and the actor would visit his two-year-old daughter, who lives in Johor, Malaysia, every week.
The actor said, "We agreed to separate temporarily, but we're trying to adjust. I hope we could solve the problems between us. Our relationship is not over, I hope we can reconcile."
Marcus's friend revealed that although there is only a 5% chance of reconciliation, the actor was unwilling to give up his relationship, because he wants his daughter to grow up in a complete family.
The actor is currently coping well with single life, and would listen to music, read books or meet friends for meals after work. He now lives in the top floor of semi-detached house which he rented from a friend.
It is believed that Marcus has to earn up to S$10,000 each month, in order to support the monthly alimony for his ex-wife and his young partner and daughter's living expenses.

Jupiter's Special
As promised we will be taking a break from the Mandopop industry and will be focusing on the Korean pop industry this week.
In fact, we will be doing a K-Pop trilogy. Yay!!!
For the upcoming three episodes we will be devoting our time to purely K-Pop.
So today is the first part of the K-Pop trilogy.

K-Pop Trilogy Part One: Who says K-Pop is all about idol groups?

The recent Hallyu wave has saw the rise of many K-Pop groups like Super Junior, Big Bang and Girl's Generation. BUT K-Pop is not only about these idol groups. There are fantastic soloist singers out there as well. And today we will be featuring some of these singers. Btw in case you are wondering, all the songs featured today are all new and hot from the oven one wor. So if u dunno these songs, please take this chance to update yourself. If not 就落伍了.

First up is Se7en. Wah this guy i think is quite the 天王 status there one.
Managed to clinch the number one spot during his comeback week.
Quite shuai and got charisma also. I wouldn't say is vocals are like damn nice but he sings well in terms of the way he expresses the songs.
不要看他文质彬彬, 斯斯文文 like that. He dance also not bad one hor.
一次过大放送,两首歌曲.
First up is a more upbeat tempo song called Somebody Else. Don't be fooled by the tempo, the lyrics is actually about his lover loving someone else.
Up next, 深情诠释 "When I Can't Sing". Wah you must look at the solo dance at the end. Tsk tsk tsk. Nice sia.

I believed i have featured K.Will before. If u guys remember.
This guy also not bad. Managed to grab a number one on Music Bank.
I like his voice his sia. So powerful and strong.
And i wonder how they manage to hit all the high notes so perfectly and remember so many dance steps at the same time. Must have spent a lot of time rehearsing.
This is K.Will's "I Need You".

This next guy also managed to clinch a few number ones with this next song.
Jay Park just exudes confidences and charisma.
What can i say? Really 很吸睛的表演.
So this goes to show that you don't need a whole bunch of people to attract attention.
If you are good, just one will do.
This is Jay Park with "Know Your Name".

After featuring three soloist male singers, you must be thinking what about the girls?
While, let me introduce this newcomer, Ailee, to you.
If you are interested in her, she is also one of the main characters in Dream High 2.
Wah her vocals and performance really quite international standard.
Reminds me of Beyonce and Rihanna but yet in a different kind of way. Dunno why.
This is her song called "Heaven".
It was number 2 on yesterday's Music Bank just right behind 天团 Big Bang. For a newcomer, i think that is pretty impressive.

Last but not least is this new singer called John Park.
He was a contestant in American Idol and even got into the Top 24. But unfortunately didn't advance further. Thereafter, he returned to Korea and continued competing in singing competitions. He was noticed and thereafter managed to become a professional singer.
This guy is also another one to watch out. During his debut week, first week first ever song, managed to squeeze into Top 3 and remained around the position. Not bad.
And you think K-Pop is all about electronic or dance tracks. Well this guy is really a refreshing new addition into the industry. He brings in the jazzy element as well.
I think Reiko will particularly like this guy.
This is John Park with "Falling". Oh btw, he reminds me of Coldplay. Wonder if you guys get that feeling as well.

That's it for this week.
Do look forward to the next two episodes.

안녕!!!
Xian Hao
