Looks like the opposition is staking on that little chance of winning. And the minute possibility of removing key personnel from the 'throne'. Shall leave it up to the residents there to decide. Last election in AMK, PAP won 66.1% of the votes. The overall average for PAP is 66.6%. Hmm...
It is said that GE is most likely to be held around June. Hopefully it doesn't fall on the dates I'm away from SG. If that really happens, then I wish my GRC will have a walkover haha. At least I won't feel that bad not being able to vote.
There is an opposition party interested in contesting in my area, so it probably won't be a walkover. But then again I don't know who they are...
Voting for the fun of it I guess. Entering that 'hidden' cubicle...writing on the voting slip...inserting it into the box. Hee...feels like a rare opportunity participating in our country's politics.
The most interesting part would be the result release, usually near midnight on that very night. Everyone is eagerly waiting for that 'announcer' (sorry I don't really know who he is but I remember he appeared in both 2006 and 2001 elections) to step up the podium and announce the results.
"AAA GRC/SMC. Total XXX votes. PAP got YYY votes, PPP got ZZZ votes. AAA goes to PAP blah blah."
Image of people cheering, followed by bar charts, pie charts, animations for analysis etc.
It's going to be the same arrangement this year I guess.
