Hong Kong (II) - Ocean Park

Didn't visit Disneyland but went to Ocean Park instead. It's like a combination of amusement park and zoo. Most importantly it is cheaper too.

Entered the park when the gates were just opened. It wasn't very crowded then. People started streaming in only around the afternoon. There were still large groups of tourists coming in close to 4pm. (The park closes at 6pm)

They are called red pandas, though they look more like raccoons. Probably due to the black patches around their eyes haha.

A giant panda happily chomping on bamboo leaves. It keeps on eating and eating - makes the bamboos look very delicious haha.

Question: Why do pandas dislike taking photos?

A smaller panda nibbling on the 'ice-cream cone'.

Soon we can also get to see pandas in Singapore from 2012.

The park is divided into two sections, which are quite a distance away from each other. Hence a cable car is needed to travel between these two sections.

The overview of the first section.

Beautiful scenery from the cable car.

Overview of the second section from the observatory tower cabin. Rode the vertical drop and the roller coaster (not shown in the picture).

Picturesque lagoon.

A huge aquarium with large fish, stingrays, turtles etc swimming in circles.

I feel like sleeping too zzz.

Animal show featuring dolphins and seals.

In this bird performance, you can witness the glory of birds defecating. *splat*

If only the cable cars in SG could provide such splendid view...
