Do you feel cooped in this uninteresting island?
Take a look at this article:

This is the most-viewed article in sgclub.com. Perhaps Singapore is too boring such that the title of this article is able to capture the attention of many people. I'm sure many are trying to search for more interesting places that they haven't been to, without leaving the country. Do such places still exist in SG? Let's explore the recommendations listed.
(1) & (2)
They are ideal locations if you crave to bask under the hot sun and sea breeze, while enjoying the tranquility far away from the hustle and bustle of the main island. Other than those with direct links to the mainland, Sentosa and Jurong Island, I haven't been to any of the Southern Islands before, so I've no idea about the extent of beauty of these places.

The inside is actually much bigger than it looks from the outside. I went in once during a public holiday long time ago, and had to walk up a long slope before reaching the main building. I remember seeing families picnicking on the green pastures as well. (or is it just my imagination?) There is a fountain plaza in front of the main entrance, and the interior looks exactly like what we usually see in the news - posh and solemn, furnished with colonial-style furniture and ornaments. I didn't get to see the President though.

I've nothing much to comment about this, since I'm not a fan of museums (especially art museums). For NUS students, visit while it's free haha.

Went there for a battalion run during NS. I haven't really explored the park yet, despite living to close. However from that run I could observe that the park is not really big after all. Joggers may have to make several rounds to complete a few kilometers. The alluring sea view may probably be worth a visit.

Out of curiosity, I pulled my mum along to visit this reserve, many many years ago when I was still in an 'exploring mood'. The experience was not really that great, due to the eeriness of the deserted paths, the foul smell of mangroves, and the aggressive mosquitoes. I could hardly see anybody else strolling around, despite a weekend. If you enjoy coming close with wetlands and amphibians, this may be a good destination.

Visited the farms during a tour organized by a community centre. I think I went there too for a field trip in primary school (XH can confirm?) Ok, maybe it was some other farms. All farms look the same to me anyway haha. We were allowed to buy some fresh produce at a discounted price. Many bought vegetables but I was not very keen on it...since I don't cook.
Other than one or two, these so-called interesting places don't appeal much to me. Maybe I'm biased, judging based on my preconceived impression and past experiences. It might be a totally different experience if I were to visit these places again. Will it?
