Entertainment News

追星娱乐八卦新闻

Hey it’s me Saturn Servbot again! Since Jupiter is really busy with his projects and stuff, I’ve decided to help him out with this week’s E-News. Sorry for the sloppiness, but it’s better than none right?

I’m sure all of you have heard about the tragic bus hijack incident in Manila, where 8 Hong Kong tourists were shot dead. The large entertainment industry of HK is, of course, not going to sit there and do nothing. Memorial ceremonies to mourn the deaths of the hostages, were held throughout HK TV stations and record companies, attended by thousands of artistes. During a memorial, Richie Ren announced that his Manila concert will be cancelled, explaining that it is not appropriate to hold a concert there at such time.

On the other hand, Jackie Chan was strongly blasted by netizens for his comments on Manila’s police rescue squad. He said something like, “If the police killed the hijacker immediately, people will ask why didn’t they negotiate first. If the police negotiated first, people will ask why didn’t they kill the hijacker sooner.” Although his statement makes some sense, he had delivered it at the wrong time, when HK citizens are still fuming over the incident. Since then he has been criticized as “senile”, “cold blooded and uncultured”, “shame of HK”, etc by various people from various organizations.

In times of such crisis, it’s better for celebrities to watch their words.

Ok local news now. Not very juicy but it’s good news for charity organizations. Patricia Mok was molested in a bar in June last year, and has recently received $10000 in compensation from the molester. Instead of pocketing the money for herself, she has donated the amount to two charities, which received $5000 each. What a unique way of donation! It sounds weird to say this but, molest victims should try to follow her example.

Jupiter's Special

“新歌”变“旧歌”了, since he has released a new album. I’m talking about Danson Tang 唐禹哲.

His album first hit is titled “I’m back”. Oh, he was away?

As if people are eagerly waiting for his new album. I remember Elva Hsiao and Evan Yo also had first hit titled similar to this.

I think this is one of his nicer songs, with a unique title too. Maybe some SG singer can consider releasing a song “滨海堤坝”.

Here’s another ballad from him.

Let’s listen to one of his older songs:

That's all for the week. 有缘再见!
