Last week, we reported that a few of our very own homegrown movies were nominated for the annual 金马奖 award. 梁智强, the director of <<我在政府部门的日子>> which was nomiated for lots of award including the 最佳男主角 awards says that he have faith in Gurmit Singh. He also adds that Gurmit Singh and 梁朝伟 for his performance in《色戒》both stand a high chance of winning the 最佳男主角 award. He was quite disappointed that 范文芳 wasn't nominated for the 最佳女主角 award coz he felt that she acted really well. He says that all across asia, people were really shocked when they saw her performance, they were really impressed by it. So he felt it was a pity that she didnt get nominated. 梁智强 was also quite surprised that 《881》wasn't nominated for any music related award coz he felt that the music in the movie were really good.

周杰伦's 《不能说的秘密》is also nominated for a lot of awards including,

However, Jay is still disappointed that this movie was not nominated for awards like 最佳男女主角, 导演, 影片, 剧本. Though he is happy that the movie was nominated for a lot of awards, he still felt that this movie should be given credit for other areas as well.

刘德华 had a concert in Shanghai recently but he almost hurt himself twice throughout the entire concert. There was once where he was supposed to be hanged in midair for the concert, but halfway through, his legs were being tied to the harness and therefore resulting in him hanging upside down in mid air for a period of time. Luckily he untied himself after awhile. The second was when he was dancing on stage. There was a moment when he almost trip and fell of the stage. His dance partner immediately held him tight to prevent him from falling off the stage. Wow, twice in a row sia. What a close shave.

林俊杰 and 李玖哲 are currently in Taiwan filming their new show called 《原来我不帅》. In this show, JJ acts as a nerdy geek was always goes online and stay at home to play computer games all day. A typical 宅男. Plus he always thinks he is very 帅 until after a few rejections, he realized that he is not good looking at all. In real life 林俊杰 never thought that he is good looking, it was only when he become a singer then he felt that he looks "can make it", but still he think it is not 帅. I think his die hard fans like Xinying, will definitely beg to differ. JJ also says that he is quite stressed out filiming this show, he gets very little sleep everyday and he scared that his health will have some problems.
His other partner in the show, 李玖哲, has an even more difficult time. As he Chinese Language is not very good, he have to go home and memorize his line every night, plus he need to be doing promotions for his latest album. All these results in him having only one hour of sleep everyday. He said that he is so stressed up that he is almost having depression le.
Wow, lots like both of them are really working very hard. Therefore we hope the results of the shoe will be really good.

A new show called 《S-Pop》will be shown soon on Channel U. 小寒 was on the show recently and after that day, she written on her blog saying that she felt insulted that day. She was actually having a nice day and was very happy that she can get to go on stage with so many well-known local musicians. However, just as she was about to go on stage, the crew stopped her from doing so saying thather name wasn't on the list. The crew even said that they dunno who she is. She felt angry and said that even if she was on the wrong quene also no need to treat her like this, as if she doesn't want to leave like that.
After some explanations from both sides, both parties have decided to forgive and forget the incident.

It is becoming a trend. Today in the Singapore's entertaiment showbiz, there are more and more singing competitions held. Resulting in more and more local singers being discovered and being groomed to become the next big thing.
The whole thing starts when Mediacorp brought the whole American Idol thing to Singapore and it become the very popular Singapore Idol. After that we have 绝对Superstar, 非常Superband, Campus Superstar and many more.
Today, we will be introducing u to songs that are sand by singers that are born from these competitions.

1st up, we have the winner of the first 绝对Superstar, 陈伟联 with a song from his latest album called I Love You. It is a very nice and emotional song. The music video also quite interesting. Its like remaking the whole 绝对Superstar audition. Haha. And 伟联 to the surprise of the crew members of this music video, cried halfway through the music video. This song very touching. Hope you guys like it. This is 陈伟联 with I Love You.


The next song is also by 陈伟联. Personally i really like this song a lot. Find it very nice. The lyrics also very touching.

Next up, is 绝对Superstar runner up Kelly 潘嘉丽. After releasing her 1st album "Love me, Kelly" last year, she decided to sign on with the well-known producer 姚谦. This is her 1st 主打歌 in her new album called Shakalaka Baby. This song got a bit og Bollywood style. Quite a catchy song. Plus Kelly's dance step in the music video also very nice. This is Kelly with Shakalaka Baby.


The next song i am going to intro is also by 潘嘉丽 called 在世界中心. This is a very sweet song. Very soothing and makes you feel that you are actually in love. Haha. Enjoy ba.


This next group of people just recently won the Best Newcomer award at the Singapore Hits Awards. We are talking about the Winner of 非常Superband,迷路兵. Sam, Nic and Weiqi were childhood friends and they came to know each other in church. That explains the amazing chemistry that the three of them has. This song is called 泪. I am so attracted to the guitar lor. Plus this song actually very difficult to sing. Tried before. The range is very weird. So unless, you are really good in singing, don't try this song. Haha.


Keep a look out of other local singers from singing competitions. A lot of them have new songs that are already playing on the radio now. Sylvester Sim and Olinda Cho from the first season of Singapore Idol, and Jonathan Leong from the second season, all have new songs on the radio now. In fact, Olinda has already release her debut album.
