新加坡金曲奖 2007 is coming and i have the nomination list of three of the awards.
But before i announce the nominations, i have some related news.
孙燕姿 has decided to pull out of the 最佳本地歌手 award, she had been getting this award for 5 consecutive years and decided to pull out from this award so that other local singers will also have a chance of winning this award. She said this is to encourage other outstanding local singers, she want all of them to get award together and grow together. Her place in this award hard been replaced by 绝对 Superstar contestant, 洪俊扬.

Remember i said before that 陈洁仪 will be embarking on a new career path. Well, she has started working as a 公关. Switching from a singer to an office job, she say she needs a lot of time to adapt to the new environment. She is worried but at the same time is really excited and looking forward to her new job. She even went shopping for office wear as she claims she doesn't have any in her wardrobe. We wish Kit Chan all the best in her new career path.

Local movie <<881>> has been a hit with the locals. Box office sales recently just hit the 1.8 million mark and is expected to hit 2 million in the next few days. Also, it has been confirmed that it will be shown in Malaysia and Japan. Authorities are also trying to make this movie available in Taiwan. It is also confirmed that <<881>> will be taking part in this year's 金马奖 and will be fighting for 14 of the awards. We wish <<881>> all the best and hope they will bring back good news to us and do Singaporeans proud.

Last year's 绝对 Superstar Winner 陈伟联 has released his 2nd album <> in Taiwan. When ask how is he coping in Taiwan, he said that he has been rejected to go on some of the varitey shows because the producers think his condition is not suitable to take part in some of the games. He said however that he is will be okay with any arrangements from the producers if he was allowed on the show. He also leaves a good impression to the Taiwanese media with his cheerful and humorous character. The Taiwanese media calls him "新加坡杨宗纬" as both were from singing competitions in their respective homeland. 陈伟联 will be back in Singapore in November to promote his album. We hope that his album will be a hot favourite in Taiwan and we wish to hear his new songs and see his album release in Singapore soon.

After 6 years of not releasing albums, 林凡 is back with her latest album. In this album, she will be singing lots of 经典 english songs. In this 6 years, she had been a radio DJ and she finds that she likes this job a lot. Plus she is quite happy that these few years, there are people singing her songs. However at the same time, she was really depressed seeing other singers of her same era like were now all very successul and even suspects from time to time whether she can sing. Now her new album is out, we wish her all the best and hopes she will release a new chinese album soon.
